Saanyol Suswam joined the Help Me Grow Alabama team as an AmeriCorps member serving at United Way of Central Alabama. Saanyol earned her B.S. degree in Biology from Miles College in 2017, then went on to graduate from UAB School of Health Professions with an M.S. in Biotechnology. She has worked in the Birmingham City School System as a middle school science teacher and has over 3 years of Molecular Biology research experience, specifically in the realm of translational cancer investigation. She is passionate about serving underrepresented communities and values the HMG commitment to educating and empowering these communities. Welcome, Saanyol!
