We are excited to welcome Laketta Williams to the team as the new Help Me Grow Northwest Alabama Regional Care Coordinator at the United Way of Northwest Alabama. Laketta was born and raised in Northwest Alabama and has learned the importance of child and adolescent mentorship for social and developmental issues while serving in several youth leadership roles. She also travels to Desab, Haiti for an ongoing sustainability and community development project that includes furthering the education of the children in the community. Laketta graduated from the University of North Alabama with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Psychology. Welcome, Laketta!

Help Me Grow Alabama is funded by the Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education through the Preschool Development Grant, the Alabama Department of Human Resources, and the Alabama Department of Mental Health through a Project LAUNCH Grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Association. In addition, Help Me Grow Alabama is supported by an AmeriCorps State Grant from the Corporation for National and Community Service provided by The Governor's Office of Volunteer Services.
